Betul Lighthouse

                         A view point of heaven!

 Betul lighthouse which gives you a view of heaven is located in betul which is a coastal town at the conflux of River Sal and the Arabian sea in south Goa.

Located at the top of a hill overlooking the plains of Salcette. One can see the meandering path of the Sal river till it meets the sea. On a clear day, you can also see the spectacular mountains to the East.

The nearest city to the lighthouse is Margao which is at a distance of 20 km and from Panaji to the lighthouse the distance is around 50km.

The first time I visited this place I had no idea of the view to looks so spectacular, the only exposure I had was when my neighbour showed me pics of their visit to this beautiful lighthouse. I was so amazed that on the same day I called up my friends and made a plan to visit this place. The next week me and my friends grouped together and went to the lighthouse. It was a whole new experience for us. That was my first experience to this place which was unforgettable. Traveling with your friends is always fun and in addition To this beautiful lighthouse is just enjoyable and worth it. You can also go to betul fort and betul beach to make it A perfect trip.

You can park your vehicles at the Holy Cross chapel and climb up. From there it is a pleasant trek of 1km through the grass and shrubs leading you to the lighthouse on the top of the hill. It can get a bit bushy in the rainy season but that's when you will get the best views.i will suggest you to make this visit with your friends or family so that you can have a light and funny conversations while trekking. After reaching the lighthouse the caretaker will ask for some fee and and then he will give instructions which you to listen carefully and then you can enter the lighthouse. To go to the top of the lighthouse there is a beautiful stair case and it looks awesome from the top of the side. It is well designed and attractive. Now let’s come to the breath taking view point! Very beautiful view Point ,you can see everything from this tower like natural scenery, big mountain, long distance Costal area of goa, fishing dock etc .The view from the view point is just awesome, you will be shocked and stunned for a moment trying to catch all the beautiful scenes in your eyes. Then as soon as you calm down your nerves you will notice that you can see betul beach and mobor Beach from the view point. . I’ll suggest you to go in evening time so that you can enjoy the sunset from the best viewpoint place in Goa. It closes at 6.30 pm so majke sure you reach before that. This place is also a too good spot for photoholics, sunset and the sea in background will be a perfect spot to pose. And if you’re posting the picture in social media than it will easily catch eye of your followers and friends. And if you’re not a socially extrovert person and just want to get some peace from the crowded city life than also this place is for you too. You can just sit and enjoy the the beautiful view and feel the fresh air breathe with some peace.

Going to this place in monsoon is best suitable because of the greenery and cool in the air. It is painted in bright red and white stripes standing majestically like a guard enduring with courage the force of nature. It can be spotted from a long distance which makes a perfect landscape picture. This lighthouse is one the three lighthouse which is still functional. This place is still one of the hidden gems of Goa and you will definitely experience love at first sight. A good place for Some exotic exclusive experience and an amazing viewpoint for sunset which gives you some sense of relaxation. A great place and great view! Pictures only show you the beauty but you can only feel once you go there. So atlast I would just say that if you want to experience love and want a short break from daily busy city life than you should visit this place once!

Butterfly Beach

 Butterfly Beach is laden with beautiful white sand and clear waters. You will find many rocks here. Probably amongst the most picturesque beaches in the world, this beach offers dolphin play and a beautiful sunset. Betul Beach (Fort side)

 Betul beach is in South Goa, 20.7 kilometers from Margao by the MDR43. It takes about 45 minutes by road from the city. Betul is at the southernmost tip of the 27 kilometers long continuous shoreline that extends from Vasco da Gama to the Sal River. The stretch of sand comes to an end at the confluence of the Sal River and the Arabian Sea at Betul. Immediately north of Betul is Mobor, followed by the popular Cavelossim beach. The stunning Betul fort is on the opposite bank of the river, offering panoramic views of the sea, the coastline, river, and the countryside. This is a very serene and secluded beach, even during the November to January peak tourist season. It is a sandy beach with a few rocky outcrops. There are plenty of palm and casurina trees.
