Butterfly Beach

 Butterfly Beach is laden with beautiful white sand and clear waters. You will find many rocks here. Probably amongst the most picturesque beaches in the world, this beach offers dolphin play and a beautiful sunset. Due to the dense forests, you can access the beach by mud road or  can only get there by a  trek through the forest or from by a boat ride from Palolem beach.There are no restaurants or any other tourist facilities on this beach. 

As my personal experience i had gone to butterfly beach on two wheeler vehicle with couple of my friends, we had travelled from the road which goes to cancona and the rosd was very narrow and small as we had two wheeler it made it more easier to travel , from the main ghat road there was one steep right turn which goes to leopard valley ie which straight goes to butterfly beach , we took that road and travelled for almost 15-20 mins the road was completely made of mud and small rocks which is suitable for off-roading vehicles such as ( Thar and isuzu 4 X 4 ) ( Himalayan or any off-roading bikes) as we head towards the beach , there was a small shack restaurant which owns almost the 3/4 property nearby and that property was used for pay parking for cars and bikes and they were charging 200 bucks per vehicle , as we found the pay parking very expensive , i decided to ride more further to the beach , as there were many big rocks and steep and uphill path we chose to ride over it and reach to the nearest point of the beach then we had to do some 5 mins trekking and we finally reached the beach , the beautiful destination and view of the beach made us super happy but being a goan it was pretty disappointing to see a lot of garbage and trash which was littering right infront of the entrance of the beach , we cleaned some part  of the beach and later we spent some quality time and explored the big giant rocks which covered the beach , this beach had one of the finest and crystal clear water there was a dolphin ride as well for the tourists which costed 1k-1.5k per person , but as we jus came to enjoy the place we didnt take the ride.

Let me make it clear there is no source of transportation from main road to the beach till the main road there are local buses which run daily approximately every 30 mins so it’s quite difficult as well to reach to the beach but people who trek and who have the dedication to visit place’s always get to see the best and eye catching view and beautiful scenery . its said that if you even travel for hours and overcome many obstacles while visiting such places the results later are worth waiting for .
